Membership Drive Information for 2026/2027. You are building your PTA Community. Your membership can support in various ways. Your membership plan should include a theme, if appropriate, a membership calendar and a membership budget.  Plan a membership promotion campaign that uses a variety of methods and outreach activities to promote the value of PTA membership.  The Basics of PTA Membership.

Set a Membership GOAL – 5 % Increase, 10% Increase as a Strech Goal.  Try setting a Goal, 40% Student Enrollment.

Every great mission begins with a crew that believes in what they are launching toward. For California State PTA, that mission has never changed: every child, in every community, supported by families and educators who show up and speak up. This year, we are inviting every unit across the state to be part of something bigger. Our 2026-2027 Membership Challenges are your launchpad, five opportunities to grow your community, strengthen your voice, and show what PTA can do when it reaches for the stars.

Valuable Resource

Enrolling members is a year long activity that enables PTA’s to build an informed team of valuable individuals to work on behalf of all children and youth. Individuals who subscribe to the purposes and basic policies of the PTA become a member upon payment of dues to a PTA or PTSA unit. 

Dues are forwarded to Council monthly 

  • November – By Association Meeting: Fifteen members to remain in good standing with the State PTA
  • June 7: Final remittance for the fiscal year
