GOAL: Support and Empower PTA Unit Presidents and Other Board Members at our Unit PTAs Through Communication, Training, Coaching and Collaboration

• Incorporate Mini Training Sessions into the Monthly President’s Meetings
• Host Position Specific Round Table Discussions Throughout the Year as Needed
• Continue Unit Leader Mentoring Program and Training

GOAL: Promote and Increase PTA Membership

• Engage Units in Promoting Local, California State PTA, and National Membership Campaigns
• Support Units in the Timely, Proper and Ongoing Reporting of Members Through Channels
• Extend Membership Opportunities to Community Leaders and Members
• Promote and Recognize Membership with all Students, Teachers and Staff at our Schools

GOAL: Provide Programs for Parent & Community Engagement, Legislative Advocacy, National PTA Reflections, Scholarships & Awards, Health & Wellness, Registration and Hospitality

• Proactively engage unit representatives to promote increased participation on council committees and at their units
• Identify and develop future leaders through involvement on council committees
• Continue to encourage collaboration among council committees

Goal: Encourage and Promote Participation in State PTA Events and Programs. also, Continue Representation at District Meetings

• Encourage and promote unit attendance at State PTA Convention
• Encourage and promote unit attendance at Sacramento Safari
• Encourage and promote unit attendance at Fourth Districts Administrators Dinner
• Grow Reflections Program participation at units
• Encourage units to participate in scholarships, awards and grant opportunities

GOAL: Communicate Information About Our Programs and Other Programs of Interest to the Community, PTA Units, Parents and Teachers Using a Variety of Communication Tools

• Create and maintain an all-inclusive Council calendar to be posted on the website
• Continue to provide guidance for effective use of social media
• Communicate relevant information from state and fourth district pTA to our Unit PTAs

GOAL: Continue to Address Inclusion and Diversity Within Orange Unified School District

• Promote empathy and the acceptance of similarities and differences within our school communities, making schools and PTAs welcoming to all
• Continue to share, evaluate and implement best practices in the areas of inclusion and diversity throughout our council
• Continue promoting the use of welcoming activities to encourage family engagement and PTA membership
• Support district initiatives regarding cultural responsiveness and ethnicity
• Provide means to communicate effectively with all members of the Council
